In the Spring of 1991, the NBA approached Los Angeles designer Michael Doret to lead the project of developing a new logo for the New York Knick, from their classic 1977 logo. Over twenty years after the completion on the project, the logo is still the primary one used by the team. In an interview, Dovet explains his approach and design concepts as well as highlights many alternate logos that were ultimately trashed.
