Growing up in the Chicagoland area during the height of their career, I have been a Fall Out Boy fan since Take This To Your Grave and still enjoy their albums to this day. After three years of speculation and rumors, the band announced yesterday that they are finally reuniting after a brief hiatus. The video above is a teaser for their first new song in three years titled “My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark (Light Em Up)” featuring 2 Chainz (who would have thought) in the visuals. The track is currently available on iTunes.

Their forthcoming album Save Rock and Roll is slated for global release March 6th and 7th, and they’ve already announced upcoming tour dates. Where do you  see Fall Out Boy’s album among other artists who are also returning to music  this year? Let us know in the comments below.

when we were kids the only thing that got us through most days was music. its why we started fall out boy in the first place. this isn’t a reunion because we never broke up. we needed to plug back in and make some music that matters to us.

the future of fall out boy starts now.

save rock and roll…
