In what has been a pretty big week for young Chicago hip-hop, Kids These Days’ MC Vic Mensa dropped the first tidbit from of his solo project Innanet Tape. This is the second solo project from Mensa and the first one that he’s collaborated on with Chicago underground label Closed Sessions.

The Internet was what first started as a little bit of an alter-ego for Vic, but has evolved into something that may be one of the most interesting things to shake up Chicago’s hip-hop scene in a while. The flow on this joint is more staccato than when he’s surrounded with the smooth instrumentation of Kids These Days, but that really just shows why Vic is one of the most talented and versatile young artists in the country today. Don’t sleep on this project. Listen to the track below.
