It’s no secret that Donald Glover (aka Childish Gambino) has an interest outside of the realm of hip-hop music. He first started as a comedy writer and an actor, as I’m sure many of you know. Last summer, he even dropped an oddly introspective and humbling short entitled Clapping For The Wrong Reasons, which left many fans a combination of confused and overjoyed.

Today, Mr. Glover is back with a new short entitled Chicken and Futility. This short, which is aptly named after the conversation that takes place in the film, is not unlike Clapping for the Wrong Reasons, in that it is simply a depiction of every day events. Gambino discusses the futility of the life of a moth and Chik-fil-a, eventually coming to an unexpected conclusion. Check out the new short above, and, if you’re like me, try not to spend too much time wondering why you are so fascinated by 3 minutes of mundane dialogue; just accept it.
