Chicago’s independent hip-hop label Closed Sessions consistently produces some of the best music to come out of the city. Often times, they curate dope collaborations for their artists, and pair these releases with short documentaries to show how a track came about. This installment, which features Alex Wiley and Mick Jenkins on their “Own Man” record, which was released in February, is an insightful look into the creation of a terrific record.  Stream the documentary above and check out our interview with Alex Wiley here.  Also, don’t forget to catch Mick Jenkins at the Canopy Club on April 3rd.
